Collecting Cars has partnered with Veloce for the second year running to auction some incredible motorsport experiences for charity; the highlight of which is a unique package that includes thrilling passenger laps in an F1 2-seater piloted by 1996 World Champion Damon Hill OBE.

During this incredible day out, the winner will also get to experience three other passenger rides in some of the greatest road and race cars ever built, driven by multiple Le Mans and Daytona 24-hour winner Derek Bell, Le Mans winner Richard Attwood, and F1 and Group C racer Jonathan Palmer.

While this star prize is genuinely unique, there are also four additional high-octane experiences, which will see the winning bidders taken on fast passenger laps around the Grand Prix circuit in the F1 2-seater with ex-Jordan and Minardi driver Zsolt Baumgartner (who pilots the 2-seater at Grand Prix around the world). These winners will also get three further rides in some of the most iconic classic and performance cars, choosing between the likes of the Fiat S76 ‘Beast of Turin’, a genuine ‘Works’ Jaguar D-Type, or any of the glorious Ferraris in attendance including a 275 GTB, F50, and a Monza SP2.

These unforgettable experiences will take place on 31 August 2022 at the annual Veloce Charity Track Day, which assembles a remarkable collection of cars, spanning more than 100 years of automotive history. Octane magazine’s Robert Coucher has described it as “the greatest track day on earth”.

Few people will ever get to experience the performance of a Formula One racer – much less being driven in one by a former World Champion – so this is an unmissable opportunity to buckle up in the passenger seat and feel the adrenalin rush of thrilling high-speed laps of the legendary Silverstone circuit.

The first charity auction lot is now live for bids, and the rest will be going live in the coming days. All proceeds from these auctions will go towards Veloce’s charities Hope for Tomorrow, who provide mobile cancer care units to NHS Trusts, Halow Project, who support young people with a learning disability, and Hope House Children’s Hospices.

Veloce is the creation of collector and philanthropist Peter Neumark who teamed up with motoring event organiser Chris Bucknall and V Events in 2017 to raise charity funds from a track day concept. They paired a spectacular grid of cars with some seriously famous racing drivers, and charged sponsors and guests for the privilege of experiencing unforgettable passenger laps - initially around Goodwood before moving to Silverstone for 2022. The event now has a fantastic group of sponsors, drivers, owners and supporters who together make Veloce “the greatest track day on earth”. In just four years Veloce has made a huge impact, raising over £500,000 for good causes.
