2019 BMW M140i SHADOW EDITION

This 2019 BMW M140i Shadow Edition is a superb example of the rear-wheel-drive hot hatch, presented in excellent condition and with just one owner from new. Under the bonnet sits the turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine, coupled with a slick eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shift. The odometer currently indicates 26,162 miles from new.

The Shadow Edition features a number of styling tweaks over the standard car, including black kidney grilles, exhaust finishers and headlight inserts. This example also benefits from a DMS Automotive remap, which has reportedly improved both fuel economy and power output. First registered in March 2019, this M140i has been its current owner from new.

The bodywork of this M140i presents very well, with flush shut lines, smooth panels and no damage. The condition of the Mineral Grey paintwork has been described as excellent, and though a few minor stone chips can be seen around the front end, these are only noticeable on close inspection. Otherwise, the car presents in super order, benefitting from a Feynlab Heal Lite ceramic coating, which was applied before the first owner took delivery by Perfect Polish in Shrewsbury. It rides on a set of 18-inch Orbit Grey M light alloy wheels, which are in great shape.

Moving inside, the Oyster and Black Dakota leather upholstery is still in superb order, with just a few very light creases visible on the seat bottoms. The Black Dakota leather and black plastic dashboard trim appears to be free of any major scuffs, while the main contact points are also in very good condition. The Shadow Edition features Park Distance Control, a Harman Kardon sound system, and cruise control as standard, all of which are reported to work as they should, along with the remainder of the cabin’s switchgear.

The car’s first routine maintenance interval was in May 2020 at 19,204 miles, where technicians at Rybrook BMW in Shrewsbury changed the engine oil and micro filter, before detailing the vehicle and applying a Feynlab Heal Lite ceramic coating.

The car’s first MOT test has not yet taken place, with its first due date falling on 28 February 2022. The wheels come wrapped with a set of Bridgestone tyres, which are all reported to be in good condition, with plenty of tread remaining. The vendor notes a set of BMW winter alloys and corresponding tyres will also be supplied in the sale.
