This BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition is a stunning as-new example of the marque’s limited-run tribute to its success in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters series with driver Marco Wittmann. Under the lightweight bonnet is a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged S55 straight-six carried over from the M4 GTS, producing 493bhp and 443lb-ft of torque, coupled to a seven-speed M-DCT dual-clutch gearbox with paddle shift. The odometer reads just 864 miles.

This high-performance BMW is a part of a worldwide production run of only 200 units. Its mechanical specification matches the M4 GTS, while the exterior livery and interior trim were chosen in homage to the DTM Champion. Its new list price was €148,500 (around £133,000). The vendor has owned the car for the past 18 months, with this UK-market model first registered on 12 May 2017 and with one previous keeper. They have kept the car carefully stored in a secure facility, kept in a ventilated Carcoon bubble.

Resplendent in Alpine White, the condition of this M4 DTM makes it clear that the vehicle has been stored carefully to date. The finish exhibits a clear and even shine throughout, and there are no blemishes noted by the vendor. Its lacquered carbon-fibre roof, front splitter, rear spoiler, and wing mirror caps are also free of stone chips or hazing, further evidencing the care taken with this collector-quality modern BMW. The M4 DTM retains its original alloy wheels, which are in pristine condition with no damage.

Like the GTS, the DTM’s cabin is partially stripped out, with rear seat delete and a roll cage installed in their place – in this case, finished in white. The seats have also been swapped for lightweight carbon-fibre buckets, upholstered in Merino leather and Alcantara, with M emblems on the centre panels and the tri-colour motif for the seat belts. All of the rest of the interior trim is in great shape, including the Alcantara for the transmission tunnel, dashboard, and Performance steering wheel, and the various carbon-fibre inlays.

This M4 DTM has been serviced twice to date, with Dick Lovett BMW of Hungerford carrying out a running-in service in April 2019 at 700 miles, and with a further service in September 2020. The most recent MOT test was on 12 May 2020 at 858 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass with zero advisories. Shod in matching OEM-specification Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres all round, these are in good condition with approximately 4mm of tread remaining all round.
