2016 PORSCHE 911 R - 327 MILES FROM NEW

This Porsche 991 R is an as-new example of perhaps the most sought-after modern 911, with little more than delivery mileage on the clock. Under the rear engine cover is the sensational, naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six, which produces 493bhp at 8,250rpm and drives the rear wheels via an engaging six-speed manual transmission. This allows the 911 R to sprint from 0-60mph in just 3.8 seconds, and on to a claimed top speed of 201mph. The odometer displays a mere 327 miles from new.

Designed to be nothing short of the ultimate driver’s car, only 991 examples of the Porsche 911 R were built, with the engine taken from the 991-generation GT3 RS, paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The car was then treated to an extensive weight-loss programme, and features carbon-fibre front wings, while around 4.5kg of sound insulation was also removed.

As denoted by the plaque in its cabin, this example is number 462 of that production run, and was specified with Pure White paintwork and red racing stripes with a black leather and houndstooth fabric interior. The first owner also selected the optional lightweight single-mass flywheel and the Sport Chrono Package. The car was acquired by its current owner three years ago, and is now offered for sale.

Well-cared for and sparingly driven, this 911 R’s bodywork and paint are in impeccable condition, with no panel damage, dents, chips or scratches. The Pure White finish is accented by dual red racing stripes, while black decals and red ‘Porsche’ text run down the car’s flanks. It has a received a full application of paint protection film (PPF), to ensure it remains in pristine condition. It rides on a set of lightweight 20-inch centre-lock alloy wheels, which are finished in gloss black and house ceramic brake discs and bright yellow callipers.

Moving inside, the lightweight carbon-fibre seats are clad in black leather with Pepita houndstooth cloth centre panels, which are unmarked. The top of the dashboard and door panels are also trimmed in black leather, which is accented by silver contrast stitching and gloss carbon-fibre inlays. Ahead, the car’s gauges feature green increment markings with white needles, as seen in classic 911s. Factory-fitted equipment includes dual-zone climate control, PCM with satellite navigation, and a premium Bose surround sound system. All of the car’s buttons, switches and electrical items work without fault, and there are no warning lights displayed on the dashboard.

Despite its incredibly low mileage, this 911 R was serviced in September 2020 at 316 miles by Porsche dealer JCT600. This included a 111-point check and an oil and filter change, and the car also remains under an extended Porsche warranty – transferrable to another private owner – until 2022.

Its last MOT test was conducted on 16 September 2020 at 316 miles, which resulted in a clean, first-time pass. The wheels are shod in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres in size 245/35/ ZR20 at the front and 305/30 ZR20 at the rear. Unsurprisingly, they are the original factory-fitted rubber, and all four are in excellent condition

This rare performance car will be accompanied by all of its original handbooks and documents, as well as an invoice for its maintenance work.

This 2016 Porsche 911 R is an iconic modern sports car, which combines a wonderful engine, gearbox and chassis into one incredibly capable and widely praised package.
