2016 PORSCHE 911 (991.2) CARRERA

This Porsche 911 Carrera is a superb example of the 991.2 generation car, benefitting from numerous upgrades brought in by that model, and boasting a great factory specification. It is powered by the 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six, producing 365bhp, coupled to the seven-speed PDK automatic transmission with paddle shift. The odometer shows just 16,462 miles from new.

First registered in November 2016, this car has just one previous registered keeper on the log book. The current owner acquired the car as an Approved Used example from OPC Portsmouth in June 2019, and took out an extended warranty until November 2021, which will remain in place for the next owner’s peace of mind. He has since enjoyed around 3,400 miles behind the wheel.

Beyond the standard features of the 991.2, which includes the PASM adjustable dampers, this 911 Carrera is also equipped with a superb selection of desirable options, including the front axle lift system, as well as the optional 20-inch RS Spyder alloy wheels with a satin platinum finish. It also features the coveted Porsche Switchable Sports Exhaust (PSE) with chrome tips, which was noted as a ‘must have’ by numerous journalists at launch.

It is fitted with the sophisticated LED headlights and the Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus, the PCM3 media system with CarPlay, front and rear parking sensors, and the reversing camera. Power folding door mirrors, auto-dimming function for all three mirrors, and rain-sensing wipers are also included. The extensive original specification for the car resulted in a new list price of around £93,000.

The car remains in superb cosmetic condition, with undamaged body panels, and original GT Silver paintwork all around the body. The seller does note some small stone chips, to the bonnet and front bumper in particular, and these are clearly visible in the photo gallery below. The clear paint protection film ahead of the rear arches is still in place. Its 20-inch alloy wheels are in perfect condition, with no kerb marks or paint damage, and are complemented by coloured Porsche crest centre caps.

In the cabin, the black leather package extends to the door panels, lower dashboard and centre console. The electrically adjustable Sport Seats Plus are in superb condition, with no wear to speak of, and feature three-stage heating as well as Porsche crests embossed on the headrests. The rear seats still appear to be in as-new condition, and have never been used by the seller. There are a few very minor scuffs to the plastic sill cover by the driver’s foot well, clearly shown in the photo gallery, but otherwise the trim remains pristine throughout. Factory-fitted equipment includes dual-zone climate control, cruise control, and the BOSE surround-sound system.

Its most recent service was in January 2019 at 12,939 miles, carried out by Porsche Centre Portsmouth. This consisted of an engine oil service, as well as renewal of the brake fluid.

The last MOT test was on 22 June 2019 at 12,972 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories. The wheels are fitted with Porsche N-rated Pirelli P Zero tyres in size 245/35 ZR20 at the front and 305/30 ZR20 at the rear. They date-coded to 2016, and still have around 5mm of tread at the front and 4mm at the rear.

Accompanying the car is the original book pack, including driver’s manual, stamped guarantee and maintenance record, service directory, and documentation for the Approved Used warranty. There are also two tracker keys, along with the presentation box containing a leather key fob, spare key and a framed picture of the car. The tool kit, air compressor, and warning triangle are all stored in the boot.

This Porsche 911 (991.2) Carrera is a remarkably capable sports car, presented in excellent condition throughout. Furthermore, with extended Porsche warranty cover until November 2021, bidders can have even more confidence in their offers. Despite the fact that it can sprint from 0-62mph in just 4.4 seconds, and go onto a top speed of 182mph, this 911 remains eminently usable and practical, ready for anything from thrilling road trips to daily driver duties.
