2014 PORSCHE 911 (991) 50TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION

This 2014 Porsche 911 (991) 50th Anniversary Edition is a handsome limited-production contemporary sports car, presented in outstanding condition throughout and with a full Porsche service history from new. Under the rear engine cover is the 3.8-litre naturally aspirated flat-six producing 394bhp, which drives the rear wheels via a seven-speed semi-automatic PDK transmission with paddle shifters. The odometer shows 16,640 miles from new.

Created by Porsche to celebrate 50 years of the 911 model, the 991-generation 50th Anniversary Edition is based on the Carrera S, and includes a number of unique cosmetic touches inspired by the 911s of the past, as well as a handful of usually optional extras as standard. In total, 1,963 examples were produced – a nod to the first year of production.

Built using the wider bodyshell from the Carrera 4, this limited-edition 911 features a wider track and revised suspension, with Porsche Torque Vectoring and a limited-slip differential as standard, along with the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system.

Other exclusive elements include the car’s Fuchs-style alloy wheels, darkened headlight surrounds, chrome-effect engine cover slats and a retro black leather and houndstooth fabric interior. This car also features the desirable Sport Chrono package.

First registered on 7 April 2014, this right-hand drive UK-market example has two previous keepers on the V5C. It was acquired by its current owner in 2019, and the car has been well- maintained throughout its life to date.

The seller states that the bodywork is in excellent condition, and there are certainly no dents to the panels or other accident damage to speak of. Its black paintwork also presents very well, with a smooth and glossy appearance around the car, and is protected by a full PPF application, which was carried out in 2020.

A number of 50^th Anniversary Edition-only touches mark this 911 apart from the crowd, including chrome-effect inlays on the front air intake slats and engine cover grille, high-gloss window surrounds and unique badging. In addition, the car rides on a set of 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, which are a modern interpretation of the classic Fuchs units. All four are in superb order.

In the cabin, the front and rear seats are clad in an edition-specific combination of black leather and ‘pepita’ houndstooth fabric with ‘911 50’ stitching on the front headrests. All of the upholstery presents handsomely and shows few signs of use, save for some very slight wear to the edge of the driver’s outer bolster.

Ahead, the leather-wrapped steering wheel features contrasting white stitching, and is in great shape, while the other interior touchpoints including the door pulls, PDK gear selector and buttons are also unmarked. The car also features a dark grey Alcantara headlining, which is punctuated by an electrically operated glass sunroof, helping to brighten the cabin and provide improved airflow during fair-weather days. The numbering on the instrument dials also harks back to the earliest 911s.

Factory-fitted equipment includes heated and electrically adjustable front seats, a premium Bose sound system and front and rear parking sensors. The vendor states that there are no faults with any of the car’s buttons, switches or electrical items, and that there are no warning lights displayed on the dashboard.

This lesser-seen special edition 911 is reported to be in fine mechanical condition, having been routinely serviced by Porsche main dealers in line with the manufacturer’s schedule. Its last service was carried out in June 2020 at 16,497 miles by Porsche Guildford, which performed a general oil service and replaced the drive belt. Prior to this, the car had a major service in July 2019 at 15,785 miles including replacement of the spark plugs, and an interim service in March 2018 at 14,741 miles, with both being completed by Porsche Guildford. Its first service took place in March 2016 at 13,460 miles.

This attractive modern sports car’s most recent MOT test was conducted on 14 September 2020 at an indicated 16,500 miles, resulting in a first-time pass with no advisories. All four of the 20-inch alloy wheels were fitted with new Pirelli P Zero tyres in 2018, and they are described by the seller as being in virtually new condition. The car will be accompanied by all of its original handbooks and other documentation.

This Porsche 911 50th Anniversary Edition is an attractive retro-inspired contemporary sports car, which features unique cosmetic touches and boasts the wider body stance and the desirable Sport Chrono Package.
