2014 BMW M4

This BMW M4 is a superb example of the marque’s high-performance coupe, boasting an appealing factory specification, and low mileage. Under the bonnet is a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged straight-six, producing 425bhp, coupled to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shift. The odometer shows 28,400 miles from new.

Finished in handsome Silverstone II paintwork, with interior upholstery in complementary Silverstone Merino leather, this M4 also features the carbon-fibre interior package, and desirable features such as BMW Professional media and navigation, plus a reversing camera and cruise control. First registered on 11 July 2014, there are four previous keepers on the V5C, and the car is now offered for sale by the trade.

Its bodywork presents in excellent condition, with no sign of any previous panel damage, and with factory shut lines and panel gaps all around the car. Its Silverstone II paint finish has been renewed on the front bumper to rectify stone chips in the past, and possibly over the front wings as well, but it has evidently been done to a very good main dealer standard. The car was also specified with the factory-fitted privacy glass, and rides on 19-inch M Double Spoke alloy wheels finished in gloss black. The nearside front wheel has a small kerbing mark on the rim.

Inside, the Silverstone Merino leather is in great shape, with only very minimal wear to the driver’s seat outer bolster and base cushion. The rest of the interior trim, including the gloss carbon-fibre, the black leather on the door pulls, and the satin chrome finishers, is all in excellent condition. Both front seats are electrically adjustable and heated, and with memory settings on the driver’s side.

Other factory-fitted equipment includes a reversing camera, the Harmon Kardon sound system, dual-zone climate control, and cruise control with emergency brake function. There are no known electrical faults, and no warning lights on the dashboard.

Its last routine maintenance was in October 2020 at 27,063 miles by BMW specialist Fixed Automotive, which comprised an oil service, replacement of the nearside front brake reaction arm, and renewal of the nearside rear wheel speed sensor. A new high-tone horn was also fitted. Prior to this, it has been serviced biennially by BMW main dealers, and the full summary is included below.

The most recent MOT test was on 13 January 2021 at 28,219 miles, when it achieved a first-time pass with no advisories or defects. All four tyres are Michelin Pilot Super Sport items, date-coded to 2016, which have around 4mm on the front and 3mm on the rear axle.

Accompanying the car is the original book pack, while the service history is stored via the iDrive system. The original tool kit and tyre inflator are also present.

This BMW M4 is an exciting and engaging performance car that is practical enough to be a daily driver, while being truly entertaining on your favourite back roads, or even on a circuit. Finishing in a smart specification with a number of desirable options, and with solid service history, this is a great example of the breed, and one which is ready for many more miles with its next owner.
