2014 BMW ALPINA (F31) D3 BITURBO TOURING

This BMW Alpina (F31) D3 Biturbo Touring is a well-cared for example of the acclaimed performance estate, which has been enjoyed as intended but presents very well throughout. Under the bonnet sits the twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre straight-six diesel engine, producing 345bhp and 516lb-ft of torque, coupled with an eight-speed transmission.

Thanks to its impressive power and torque figures, the D3 can launch from 0-60mph in 4.6 seconds, but it also capable of achieving an impressive 52mpg. The odometer currently indicates 120,800 miles from new.

The specification for this D3 Biturbo extends to the rare panoramic glass sunroof, as well as the electric concealed towbar, which appears from under the rear bumper at the flick of a button. It also features the upgraded sound system, giving this lesser-seen bespoke BMW even greater desirability.

The car’s stylish body panels are all in good shape, and the condition of its Black Sapphire Metallic paintwork has been described as excellent.   It presents with a few light stone chips around the wheel arches and Alpina front bumper, though it retains an attractive shine and the body trims all look smart. There is a small chip in the windscreen, which is shown in the gallery below. The vehicle rides on a set 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, which have just some small nicks around the rims.

Inside, the Venetian Beige ‘Dakota’ leather upholstery is in excellent condition, presenting with just modest signs of use but no excessive wear. Some of the carpets are slightly discoloured, though the dashboard, door cards and headlining are in great shape. The Alpina plaque beneath the stereo confirms that this D3 is vehicle number 46 of the production run, and its surrounding trim is free of any notable scuffs or scrapes. The cabin has been equipped with an uprated speaker system and a Hertz audio processor at a cost of over £3,000, in addition to the BMW Professional media and navigation, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and cruise control. All of the electrics are believed to work as they should.

The vendor notes the car comes with a comprehensive BMW main dealer service history. The last routine maintenance was undertaken in January 2020 at 115,347 miles, with prior recent maintenance taking place in September 2019 at 114,337 miles and in February 2018 at 96,001 miles.

The most recent MOT test was on 14 December 2020 at 118,613 miles, which resulted in a pass with one minor defect, noting the windscreen stone chip; and one advisory to monitor some corrosion on the rear coil springs. The Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres are in good condition, all with at least 4mm of tread.

Accompanying the vehicle are the original owner’s manuals, along with Hertz sound system documentation, and two keys.
