2012 PORSCHE 911 (997) CARRERA 4 GTS

This 2012 997 generation Porsche 911 is a low mileage example of the Carrera 4 GTS model, entering the range in 2011 between the standard Carrera and the GT3. The Carrera 4 GTS featured a wider body and track width. Its 3.8-litre flat-six engine produces 407bhp and is coupled with a PDK semi-automatic paddle shift transmission, which work together to launch the car from 0-60 in 4.2 seconds. The odometer currently indicates 45,505 miles from new.

First registered in June 2012, this 997 has two registered keepers in the logbook and has been in the vendor’s possession for five years, during which time it has been thoroughly maintained and care has been taken to keep the mileage low.

The exterior blue paint is believed to be original, and while the driver has reported a few stone chips around the front end, door panels and rear bumper, these are only visible upon close inspection and the eye-catching finish presents well overall. The vehicle sits on 19-inch alloy wheels, which are presented with some minor kerb damage and some discolouration to the Porsche badging, but overall, remain in good shape.

Inside, the black leather upholstery remains original and is presented with some very light wear to the bottom of the driver’s seat from entering and exiting the vehicle, though appears to be in a very healthy state overall. The usual suspect areas for wear, such as the seat bolsters and carpets are in excellent condition, while the driver has reported no faults with any controls or electrical systems, and no warning lights present on the dashboard.

The last service took place in July 2019 at 44,612 miles, where technicians at the independent Porsche specialists Jasmine PorschaLink UK replaced the rear brake discs and pads, brake wear sensor, rear coffin arms and coil springs all round. Prior to this in July 2018, the vehicle underwent an oil service and brake fluid change at Porsche Bolton, who also carried out similar maintenance in 2016 alongside a spark plug, poly belt and tyre replacement.

The most recent MOT test was on 1 July 2019 at 44,612 miles, which resulted in a clean pass, with the next test due by 30 December 2020 after being granted an extension due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The vehicle initially failed a test on 24 June 2019 due to a weakened rear brake disc and the nearside rear tyre having cords or ply exposed. However, these issues were rectified, and the vehicle passed on a re-test. The vehicle comes fitted with matching Pirelli P Zero tyres, which the vendor notes have at least 6mm of tread remaining all round.

Accompanying the vehicle is a full service history, including detailed invoices of any maintenance work carried out.

This 2012 Porsche 911 4 GTS is a desirable example from the 997 generation, which featured a wider body and track width than the standard Carrera, as well as a 3.8-litre flat-six and a PDK semi-automatic transmission, delivering genuine supercar performance in a practical four-seater. This example has had just two previous owners, both of whom have taken care to keep the mileage low and the driving experience on top form with a comprehensive service history, the majority of which has been undertaken by official Porsche garages.
