2011 PORSCHE 911 (997.2) GT3 RS

KEY FACTS

  • Driven on track as intended, this focused supercar is reported to be in good mechanical order, and is ready to enjoy.
  • Under the engine lid is an electrifying 450hp 3.8-litre naturally aspirated flat-six, coupled to a six-speed manual transmission.
  • Its high factory specification includes the front axle lift system, cruise control, and Sport Chrono Package Plus.
  • The car is under a transferrable third-party Platinum Warranty that covers the car until March 2023 or 43,000 miles (whichever comes sooner).

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

  • Finished in Grey Black with bright red accents, the bodywork is complemented with an interior upholstered in black leather and Alcantara, with red accents for the door pulls and seat belts.
  • It rides on 19-inch centre-lock wheels in red.
  • The leather-trimmed carbon-fibre bucket seats have Alcantara centre panels, and there is Alcantara trim for the handbrake lever, gear shifter, and steering wheel rim.
  • The car is currently fitted with cast iron brake discs, but it will come with a fresh set of ceramic discs (PCCB) that the next owner could have installed after handover.
  • It has been modified with a Shark Werks Track Exhaust, and Tarett Sway bars and end links.
  • The car will be accompanied by various Porsche service records.
  • The transferrable third-party Platinum Warranty cover on the car applies to suspension components (such as the front lift system, any suspension failures that are not wear and tear), as well as electronics of the vehicle, and powertrain, engine and transmission components outside of wear and tear items. It lasts until March 2023 or 43,000 miles.

CONDITION

  • The car has previously had a rear impact, which was recorded on Carfax, and so the rear bumper has been repainted. The previous owner told the current keeper that this was a minor parking incident.
  • As the car had been set up for track work and time trial events, it was previously equipped with quick-release pins for the hood and the engine cover, but these have subsequently been removed, and the holes covered and painted to blend.
  • Today, the paintwork is reported to be in very good condition overall, with some small rock chips on the quarter panels and rocker panels.
  • Inside, the upholstery is in generally excellent condition for the mileage, with slight wear on the driver’s seat and one or two other places, but with no excessive marking or damage.
  • Its carpeting has holes in the rear where an OEM roll cage was previously fitted after delivery, but which has more recently been removed again.
  • The seller reports that the Traction Control sometimes does not like to be turned off, but there are no other known electrical foibles.
  • A relatively recent rev check showed some prior ignitions in ranges 3 and 4, though it is understood these occurred more than 200 hours ago, so any issues as a result would have been present by now.

SERVICE HISTORY

  • Last serviced by Sterling Autocon in Laguna Beach, CA, at 23,000 miles in May 2021, this comprised an oil change and wheel alignment.
  • The car also received new tyres in the same month at Porsche Newport Beach, while in January 2021 a Porsche dealer also fitted new spark plugs, plus new rear brake discs and pads.
  • While the car is located in California, it is covered by a valid Oregon state inspection certificate, which expires in two years.
