2010 PORSCHE 911 (997.2) TURBO S

This 2010 Porsche 911 (997.2) Turbo S is a superb example of what is widely regarded as one of the most well-rounded and usable supercars money can buy. Presented in excellent condition, with low mileage and a new shortblock engine with six months parts and labour warranty remaining. Its 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six engine produces 523 bhp, which is sent to all four wheels via a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic paddle shift transmission. The odometer currently indicates 51,200 miles from new.

First registered in June 2010, this 997.2 has just two keepers on the logbook, and the vehicle has been in the current owner’s possession for three years. The owner has purchased a private plate but has confirmed the car will be sold under the original registration. The 997.2 is the product of a mid-cycle refresh for the model, unveiled at the 2008 Paris Auto Show, featuring direct fuel injection, a redesigned Porsche sports exhaust and a revised suspension system. The vehicle can propel from 0-60 in 2.8 seconds and will keep going all the way to 196mph, with the added convenience of four seats.

The Meteor Grey paintwork is believed to be original and the vendor describes its condition as excellent. There are some very minor stone chips on the bonnet, wing mirrors and a small graze on the offside front corner, though the exterior presents very well overall and the vendor has noted no history of any bodywork damage. The 19-inch wheels are also in excellent condition, though the bold yellow brake calipers and dustbin-sized discs are the main attraction.

The interior is described as being in good condition, with the vendor reporting some very slight discolouration on the driver’s bolster from entering and exiting the car. The vendor also notes that this is discolouration only, and the leather itself remains intact. There are no faults reported with any interior controls or electrics, and no warning lights present on the dashboard. 

The most recent service took place at 47,906 miles on 30 March 2019, where the technicians at Charles Ivey Porsche Specialists in Surbiton installed a new short block engine, which remains under a parts and labour warranty until 30 March 2021. The new shortblock underwent an oil change on 20 July 2019, 1,000 miles after it was installed. Other recent work includes a full service in May 2015, an intermediate service in June 2017, a drivebelt replacement from Porsche Swindon in March 2018 and a new high-pressure fuel pump and driver’s door window switch in February 2020.

The last MOT test was on 14 February 2020, which resulted in a clean pass, following an initial fail 6 February 2020, where the high-pressure fuel pump was replaced due to a nearside rear fluid leak. Both rear tyres were also replaced and have now covered around 1,000 miles. The front tyres, meanwhile, were replaced in 2017 and have covered approximately 9,000 miles, though the vendor notes they are still in good condition. The vehicle sits on Michelin Pilot Sport N2 tyres all round. 

Accompanying the vehicle are the original Porsche 997 handbook and literature, as well as the corresponding leather storage folder, full service history and two keys. 

This Porsche 911 (997.2) Turbo S is a fully fledged supercar with the added convenience of a four-seater, boasting a 0-60 time of just 2.8 seconds and a launch control mode described by the vendor as adrenaline pumping.
