2009 PORSCHE 911 (997) CARRERA S

This Porsche 997 Carrera S is an exciting analogue sports car with a desirable factory specification, presented in excellent overall condition, and with very low mileage. Its engine is the 355bhp 3.8-litre naturally aspirated flat-six, driven through the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.

First registered on 14 March 2009, this 997 has just two previous keepers on the V5C. It was acquired by the vendor nearly eight years ago in April 2013. The car comes with a comprehensive biennial service history, exclusively at Porsche main dealers.

Today, its bodywork is reported to be in excellent condition, with no known prior damage to any panels. The Basalt Black paint finish is believed to be original, with the vendor not needing to give it anything other than regular cleaning during his custodianship. The car rides on 19-inch 997 Turbo alloys, which are generally in very good order, though the nearside rear wheel is slightly grazed. Its exterior is given a pop of colour by the bright red brake callipers.

Inside, this 911 was specified with the hard-shell sport seats, which are also heated. The black leather upholstery is in superb order throughout, commensurate with the low mileage, showing only minor creasing and signs of use. Cabin equipment includes climate control, PCM, and the Bose sound system. It was also ordered in the non-sunroof specification.

Fastidiously maintained throughout the current ownership, this car’s last service visit was to Porsche Centre Colchester in February 2020 at 24,199 miles for scheduled intermediate maintenance. In January 2018, its regular service at Porsche Centre Colchester was augmented by renewal of the drive belt and a fresh set of spark plugs. During the vendor’s time with the car, work has also been carried out on the brakes, and the coil packs have been replaced.

The most recent MOT test was on 24 October 2020 at 25,325 miles, when it achieved a first-time pass with only one advisory regarding non-excessive wear to the front brake discs. Its wheels are shod in Bridgestone Potenza tyres on all four corners, which the vendor says have around 5mm of tread remaining.

Accompanying this car is a complete original book pack, including the fully stamped service record as shown in the photo gallery, and a few invoices.

This Porsche 997 Carrera S is a superb modern sports car, presented with very low mileage, and excellent full OPC history. With its manual transmission, non-sunroof specification, and few luxuries or gadgets, this is arguably a truly driver-focused 911, and one which would be a credit to any collection of modern classics or performance cars.
