• Extensively modified by Specialist Vehicle Preparations to be the perfect dual-purpose road and track car, it is now powered by a 3.8-litre flat-six engine, with GT3 throttle bodies, Westwood iron ductile liners, Omega pistons, a bespoke exhaust system and an Infinity ECU – though the original ECU remains on board and could be reconnected should the buyer wish.
• In its current state of tune, the engine produces approximately 345bhp and 295lb/ft of torque, which is transmitted to the rear wheels via the car’s original six-speed manual transmission, an organic clutch and a limited-slip differential.
• Additional modifications include the car’s fully adjustable KW suspension setup, upgraded brakes and a lightweight rear hatch, while the cabin features a purpose-built half roll cage, black fabric-clad bucket seats with six and four-point harnesses, and an aftermarket Sparco steering wheel.
• It rides on lightweight 17-inch Team Dynamics alloy wheels, which are finished in white and are in great shape overall, with some minor kerb scrapes on the rim of the front passenger-side wheel.
• The car will be accompanied by its original handbook and service book, two keys and a data file of specifications and photographs, which document its engine rebuild by Advanced Motorsport Engineering.

CONDITION

• No known bodywork damage.
• The Cobalt Blue Metallic paintwork is original and is in fair condition, with stone chips on the bonnet, front bumper and wings in line with the car’s road and track use, as well as some light flaking on the front bumper.
• Inside, the cabin presents very well, and while there is a small tear in the fabric on the driver’s seat bolster and a split on its frame, there are no substantial signs of wear or damage.
• There are no known electrical or mechanical issues, and while the engine warning light is illuminated, the seller states that this is due to the car’s aftermarket ECU rather than a fault.
• This 987’s last MOT test was conducted on 16 February 2021 at 107,562 miles. This resulted in a pass with one advisory noting a noisy exhaust.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This Cayman S’ most recent routine maintenance was a minor service, which was carried out in December 2020 at 107,512 miles by Porsche specialist David Griffiths Racing.
• Prior to this, the car was serviced by SVP Motorsport in March 2019 and in July 2015.
• Furthermore, the seller notes that the air conditioning system has recently been overhauled and fitted with new condensers, and the coil packs, air/oil separator, battery and windscreen have also been replaced.
