2006 BMW Z4 M COUPE

This BMW Z4 M Coupe is an exciting modern-classic sports coupe, presented in a timeless factory colour scheme and in very good overall condition. Under the long, swooping bonnet is the 3.2-litre ‘S54’ straight-six, which produces 338bhp and 269lb-ft of torque. This is mated to a Getrag six-speed manual transmission and drives the rear wheels for a 0-60mph time of around five seconds. The odometer displays 88,289 miles from new.

First registered in December 2006, this Z4 M Coupe was specified from the factory with Titan Silver paintwork over a black leather interior, and was acquired by the seller two-and-a-half years ago.

Today, this BMW’s sharp bodywork is in great shape, and is not believed to have suffered from any prior accident damage. The elegant Titan Silver paintwork is described by the vendor as being in good condition, with only a few minor marks and blemishes including stone chips on the front bumper, which is commensurate with the car’s age and mileage.

All of the light lenses, badges and rubber seals are in very good order, and this Z4 M Coupe’s exterior appearance is almost entirely standard, save for the Remus exhaust system, which features brightly polished tips. It rides on the original 18-inch ‘Style 224’ alloy wheels, which are in excellent condition, with no substantial marks or blemishes to their silver finish.

Moving inside, this Z4’s electrically adjustable and heated M Sport seats are clad in black leather, and are in impressive condition, with no rips or tears and only minimal signs of wear including some light creasing to their surfaces and a slight mark on the passenger seat’s side bolster. The centres of the door cards are also upholstered in black leather, which appears to be in good shape and is just slightly ‘baggy’ – a common issue in Z4s of this era.

Elsewhere, the touchpoints including the leather-wrapped steering wheel present well, save for some minor scratches, and the piano black trim on the dashboard is smooth and glossy. Factory-fitted equipment includes climate control, heated seats with electric adjustment and memory settings, and rear parking sensors. The seller is not aware of any faults with the car’s buttons, switches or electrical items, and there are no warning lights displayed on the dashboard.

Offered in good mechanical order, this Z4M Coupe’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out in April 2018 at 84,539 miles by BMW specialist TWG Automotive, which replaced the engine oil and oil filter. Prior to this, in July 2017 at 78,848 miles the engine oil and oil filter, pollen filter, clutch fluid and gearbox oil were changed. The spark plugs, engine oil, oil filter and microfilter were replaced in April 2016 at 67,831 miles.

During the previous ownership, the car was also fitted with new rear brake discs and pads, plus a new starter motor and ignition switch. Its already impressive engine note has also been enhanced with a Remus exhaust and an Eventuri induction kit, which was fitted in 2017/2018, along with a Bilstein suspension setup.

Its latest MOT test was conducted on 4 December 2020 at 88,289 miles, resulting in a first-time pass with no advisories. All four alloy wheels are fitted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres in size 235/45 ZR18 at the front and 275/40 ZR18 at the rear. Each has 5-6mm of usable tread remaining and is in good overall condition.

The car will be accompanied by all of its original owner’s manuals and service book, plus invoices for its most recent services, and the original air filter housing, which was removed when the aftermarket induction kit was installed.

This BMW Z4M Coupe is a well-cared for modern classic driver’s car, which has been subtly enhanced with some discerning modifications and is presented in very smart overall condition. It would benefit from a fresh service, but is ultimately ready to delight its next owner with its sonorous 3.2-litre straight-six right away, and will make a welcome addition to any collection of modern sports cars.
