• The rear entertainment screens were previously wired to a Sony PlayStation which was mounted in the boot, however this has since been removed.

CONDITION

• The front bumper has been replaced by BMW, with the owner stating that the original item was chewed by a fox. All of the metal panels are original to the car.
• The rear bumper and numberplate surround were scratched and have subsequently been resprayed.
• The Silverstone II paintwork is very smart, with only a few small stone chips on the bonnet and wing mirrors commensurate with the vehicle’s age and mileage, as well as a couple of very minor cracks and scratches on the offside rear bumper.
• The owner states that the high-gloss black trim is slightly discoloured in places, but can be restored by the new owner if desired.
• The alloy wheels present well, but have a few small marks on their surfaces, and the silver paintwork is bubbling around their valve stems.
• Moving inside, the original Silverstone leather-trimmed cabin is described as being in excellent condition, with only slight wear to the driver’s seat bolsters, central sliding armrest, steering wheel and rear entertainment screens, as well as a very small scratch in the leather of the rear bench seat, visible only upon close inspection.
• The car is in excellent working order, with no known mechanical or electrical faults.
• Its most recent MOT test was carried out on 29 January 2021 at 94,363 miles, which the car passed following repair of the handbrake which showed excessive movement indicating incorrect adjustment. Advisories noted slight deterioration of the offside rear brake hose, and corrosion on the offside rear brake pipe. 

SERVICE HISTORY

• This M5 has a full main dealer service history with Halliwell Jones BMW
• Its most recent routine maintenance was a minor service, which was carried out at 94,256 miles and included an engine oil, oil filter, microfilter, air filter and brake fluid change
• A new engine was fitted by BMW approximately 13,000 miles ago, and the gearbox was replaced by BMW at a cost of approximately £14,000 in April 2021. The gearbox now has a two-year parts warranty.
• The i-Drive system currently estimates that the front brakes have 41,000 miles of wear remaining, with 28,000 miles for the rear brakes, 15,000 for the spark plugs and 3,200 miles for the engine oil, while the brake fluid may need changing in December 2021.
