CONDITION

• No known bodywork damage.
• The Midnight Blue Metallic paintwork is believed to be completely original, and is in very good condition overall, though with some stone chips around the car and scratches on the front bumper, in line with its age and use.
• The plastic front splitter is scuffed and slightly damaged, and would benefit from replacement in due course.
• The blue convertible hood is free of any rips, tears or other damage, though there are small marks and blemishes on its surface. The hardtop’s headlining is also starting to come away from its backing in a few places.
• Inside, the cabin is very smart, and while there are some creases and signs of wear on the front seat bolsters, these are minimal imperfections.
• The air conditioning system would benefit from being regassed, but there are no known electrical or mechanical faults with the vehicle, and there are no warning lights showing on the dashboard.
• The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 12 July 2021 at 31,132 miles, which resulted in a pass after a check engine light was investigated and cleared, while advisories noted corrosion on the front lower shock absorbers and the nearside front brake pipe.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This Carrera 4S’ most recent routine maintenance was carried out in July 2019 at 29,373 miles by marque specialist Precision Porsche, who performed a major service including a spark plug change, as well as cleaning, drilling and refinishing the brake discs.
• Prior to this, annual services were carried out in April 2017 at 27,470 miles and in April 2016 at 26,284 miles.
• Furthermore, Forge Garage replaced the alternator in May 2020 at 30,579 miles, and the seller also notes that the battery and air/oil separator have been changed. The exhaust silencer has also had a small repair to two seams.
• Most notably, the engine was fully rebuilt by Porsche specialist Hartech in July 2014 at 23,681 miles at a total cost of £12,600, which also included replacement of the IMS bearing with a stronger, later item.
