CONDITION

  • No known bodywork damage.

  • Inside, its black leather upholstery has some surface creasing, and the vendor has reported one small blemish to the leather-trimmed dashboard top.
  • The gear knob is worn, and the small Porsche logo on the stem is missing.

  • The most recent MOT test was on 10 August 2020 at 64,055 miles, which was a first-time pass with no advisories or defects.

  • In July 2015 at 62,631 miles, Johnson’s carried out a 12,000-mile service, renewing the engine oil and filter, and applying a rust prevention spray to the rear upper engine bay.
  • The car has been cared for exclusively by the same independent garage for the last 10 years, covering some 5,000 miles on the road.

SUMMARY

This Porsche (986) Boxster is a well-presented open-top sports car with a vibrant aesthetic, a high factory specification, and which presents in very good condition throughout. It would make an engaging weekend toy, though is certainly practical enough for more frequent use too.
