2003 PORSCHE 911 (996) TURBO - X50 PACK

KEY FACTS

  • A fastidiously maintained example of the high-performance coupe, equipped with the desirable X50 Power Kit and with a number of subtle upgrades.
  • Under the engine lid is the 3.6-litre twin K24 turbocharged ‘Mezger’ flat-six, which produces substantially more punch than the smaller K16 turbo cars and drives all four wheels via a slick six-speed manual transmission.
  • An original ‘C16-code’ UK-market example, this 996 Turbo was first registered in July 2003, and was acquired by the seller nearly nine years ago with just two previous owners.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

  • This 996-generation 911 Turbo was specified in the timeless hue of Seal Grey metallic over a Metropole Blue leather-trimmed interior.
  • It is equipped with heated hard-back sports seats with crested headrests, PCM2 with telephone module and Bose audio, an electric sunroof and aluminium inlays on the handbrake grip and gear knob.
  • The car rides on the correct 18-inch hollow-spoke alloy wheels finished in the body colour with silver rims as specified from new, which have been pushed further out into their arches with a set of GT3 spacers with longer bolts.
  • Subtle modifications include an official Porsche quick-shifter fitted by Porsche Centre East London, a Tubi stainless steel exhaust, a host of uprated components from Evolution Motorsports, including air intake, large-core intercoolers, billet diverter valves, rebuilt K24 turbochargers, GT2 five-bar fuel regulator and a custom EVOMSit ECU tune.
  • The car has been looked after since 2011 by marque and model specialist Nine Excellence, who have carried out regular maintenance and replaced parts as necessary. Major works include fitting an uprated Sachs 890Nm clutch and refreshing the suspension system with new Bilstein B6 Sport dampers retaining the car’s original ride height. 9E has also fitted a set of discreet protective grilles behind the factory-fitted items to help shield the renewed radiators and condensers from debris.
  • This 911 Turbo will be accompanied by its original owner’s wallet containing all of its correct manuals and handbooks, as well as its Porsche certificate of authenticity, a substantial file of documents detailing its history and maintenance, its original toolkit, jack and two keys, one of which is a Carrera GT-style item.

CONDITION

  • No known bodywork damage.
  • Having been regularly detailed and protected by Armourfend protective film for 10 years, the Seal Grey paintwork is in excellent condition, with the only notable blemishes being a handful of minor stone chips.
  • Both the nearside rear wheel arch and offside door shut were refinished to make the whole car immaculate when the seller acquired it (invoice in history file).
  • Inside, the cabin is very smart indeed, with no damage. There is some normal creasing on the front seat bolsters, and the carpets and protective mats are in excellent condition.
  • There are no known electrical faults, and there are no warning lights displayed on the dashboard.
  • The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 22 October 2020 at 43,441 miles, resulting in a first-time pass with advisories noting wear to the front brake discs and corrosion/grease on the offside front brake pipe.
  • The vendor notes that when the car’s MOT test was carried out in October 2007 the car’s mileage was incorrectly recorded as 17,702 miles, rather than the correct figure of 11,702 miles, which is borne out by the covering invoice from Porsche Centre East London.
