• Factory equipment includes air conditioning, a Becker CD changer with Sound Package Plus, aluminium inlays on the Tiptronic S gear selector and handbrake grip, electrically adjustable comfort seats, draped leather for front and rear seats, and leather trim on the dashboard and door panels. It is also fitted with an alarm siren and tilt sensor.
• It rides on upgraded 18-inch genuine Porsche ‘Turbo Twist’ alloy wheels, with Pirelli P Zero Rosso N4 tyres all round.
• The car will be supplied with a comprehensive service history from OPC and Porsche independent specialists, all contained in a thick folder of documents, invoices and original handbooks detailing work carried out, plus its full tool kit, space saver spare wheel (unused), collapsible wind deflector (currently £400+ at Design 911).

CONDITION

• Today, the bodywork presents very well with a deep metallic lustre shining through the paintwork, and while the front bumper had previously been cracked, this was professionally repaired at a Porsche approved bodyshop in 2019.
• The paintwork is in very good overall condition, with a few minor blemishes, which are only noticeable upon close inspection.
• The quality Mohair convertible hood, which was professionally replaced in 2018, fits snugly over the frame below, and is free of any rips or tears.
• Its exterior trim presents well, though there is a crack in the rear ‘Carrera’ badge and a small chip is visible on the windscreen. The screen chip, does not cause any issues for the MOT test.
• Inside, the cabin is in very good order, with some general signs of use including creases on the leather upholstery and small scratches on the door cards and handbrake grip.
• There are no known electrical or mechanical faults.
• The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 7 May 2021 at 60,932 miles. This resulted in a pass after the headlamps’ aim was adjusted and a corroded front upper power steering pipe joint was repaired.
• While advisories noted a minor exhaust leak and a cut in the sidewall of a rear tyre, these issues have also since been rectified.
• The vendor reports that the Tiptronic S transmission is a joy to use, during daily commutes or along the motorway, while allowing for manual override when the driver wishes to flick through the gears using the steering wheel controls.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This 996’s most recent routine maintenance was a minor service, carried out in July 2021 at approximately 62,000 miles by Porsche specialist Brian Miller Motors, and included an oil and filter change, as well as replacement of the rear tyres and attention to the exhaust system. During the service it was noted that the air-con system required re-gassing, and this was carried out the following day.
• Prior to this, marque specialist Motortune rectified the corroded power steering pipe joint in May 2021 at 60,932 miles, and also cleaned and coated the oil cooler pipes.
• Furthermore, a major service was performed in August 2018 at 56,140 miles, when the rear suspension drop links were replaced, and the front and rear brake discs and pads have been replaced in the last five years.
• The ignition coils and spark plugs were all replaced in 2017.
