KEY FACTS

• This 996-generation Carrera 4 is finished in the vibrant hue of Ocean Jade metallic, with dark grey leather upholstery and matching Ocean Jade mats.
• The original factory specification includes electrically operated and heated front seats with three-position driver’s seat memory function, an electric sunroof, climate control and cruise control.
• It rides on 18-inch, five-spoke ‘Twist’ alloy wheels, which have had the ‘Carrera 4’ script on their centre caps colour in the body colour.
• The only non-standard item is the car’s more modern Sony stereo, which features DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity and a USB port.
• The car is accompanied by its space-saver spare wheel, warning triangle and tyre inflator, as well as various documents detailing partial service history. 

CONDITION

• There is no reported bodywork damage.
• Having been driven and enjoyed as intended, the car’s Ocean Jade Metallic paintwork displays a few scuffs, stone chips, stress cracks and scratches, including on the front and rear bumpers, the passenger-side front wing, both door mirror caps and the driver’s door.
• The original 18-inch ‘Turbo Twist’ alloys present well, with only one small kerb scuff on the rim of the front passenger-side wheel.
• Moving inside, the switchgear is in good order, showing only modest signs of use. The front seats’ leather upholstery is noticeably creased and worn, and would perhaps benefit from a re-connolising treatment, and the leather-covered back of the driver’s seat features scratches and scuffs. The rear seats are in good condition.
• There is use-related wear to the handbrake grip, the automatic gear selector, the steering wheel and around the driver’s door sill plate.
• There are no known mechanical or electrical faults.
• The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 7 May 2021 at 149,109 miles, resulting in a clean first-time pass. 

SERVICE HISTORY

• This Carrera 4’s most recent scheduled maintenance was carried out at 149,049 miles by BM Shepperton, who performed a full service, as well as replacing the alternator and the shock absorbers.
• Prior to this, BM Shepperton serviced the vehicle at 148,699 miles, and replaced the starter motor and exhaust system. BM Shepperton also performed a service at 148,620 miles, when the cam cover gasket and spark plugs were renewed.
• New tyres have also been fitted during the current keeper’s year of ownership.

SUMMARY

With a desirable factory specification and striking colour scheme, this unmodified Porsche 911 Carrera 4 is wonderfully usable modern classic. While it may benefit from some light cosmetic attention in due course, this well-equipped all-wheel drive 996 should make a highly capable and exciting year-round companion to its next keeper.
