This Porsche 968 Cabriolet is a well-maintained open-top sports car, presented in very good condition and with an extensive service history. It is equipped with the 237bhp 3.0-litre inline-four, coupled with a four-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. The odometer currently indicates 87,136 miles.

First registered in August 1998, this 968 has been in the hands of its current keeper for nearly two years. It was ordered from the factory in Polar Silver with the side protection mouldings, with a grey leather interior and contrast seat piping.

The condition of the paintwork has been described as good, though the vendor has pointed out a few minor blemishes. The passenger door edge has a couple of touched-in stone chips, while the boot lid presents with a few small black marks, which the vendor notes should polish out. There are also minor blemishes around the wheel arches, side skirts and front bumper. The re-dyed soft top roof is in good working order, with just a couple of nicks in the fabric, the pop-up headlamps also function as they should. The car rides on the original 16-inch alloy wheels, which are in great shape.

Inside, the grey leather is believed to be entirely original, and is in generally very good condition. The driver's seat piping on the outer bolster is slightly discoloured, while there is a small black mark on the driver's door card leather, which the vendor reports should clean out. The vendor has also indicated some light wear on the dashboard trims, while a piece of vent trim is missing in the driver’s door shut. The actuator within one of the driver’s seat control switches works intermittently, but there are no other electrical issues or warning lights on the dashboard.

The last routine maintenance was undertaken in April 2019 at 86,496 miles, where technicians at German Auto Tech in Sheffield changed the engine oil, filter, and spark plugs. Prior to this, routine servicing took place in December 2015 at 83,023 miles and in May 2014 at 81,800 miles. The vendor reports that all belts and idlers were replaced in February 2016 at 83,400 miles, and that the car has undergone a recent cavity protection wax treatment.

The most recent MOT test was on 26 January 2021 at 87,127 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with one advisory to monitor corrosion on the offside rear fuel pipe. The wheels are wrapped with Continental SportContact tyres, which are reported to have between 4.5mm and 5.5mm of tread remaining.

Accompanying the vehicle are the original handbooks and tonneau cover, along with a selection of magazines, a book containing extracts of 968 road tests, and a raft of maintenance invoices and receipts.
