KEY FACTS

• A fantastic modern classic GT car, covered by a recent advisory-free MOT and finished in a rare factory colour scheme.
• Its engine is the 320hp 5.0-litre M28/41 engine, which is coupled to the four-speed automatic transmission.

EQUIPMENT AND OPTIONS

• As well as a larger and more powerful V8 engine, the 928 S4 was also equipped with uprated Brembo front discs, four-piston calipers and the multi-link 'Weissach' rear axle.
• Fitted with the automatic transmission, as the vast majority of 928s were, this S4 is a consummate grand tourer that combines legendary Porsche engineering with comfort and practicality.
• The interior is upholstered in the original Classic Grey leatherette with leather inlays. It was specified with a factory sunroof and top-tinted windscreen, and has an aftermarket stereo head unit.
• All of the original books and literature are included, as well as a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and the factory tool kit. There is only one key present.

CONDITION

• No known accident damage. There is some damage to the nearside sill in the door shut, clearly shown in the gallery, which has a very small patch of surface corrosion visible. The lower front spoiler was replaced in 2015.
• Its paintwork is in generally excellent condition for its age, and is believed to be the original factory finish. There are minor stone chips to the front bumper and bonnet, but overall it looks very impressive.
• The Classic Grey upholstery is in good order, with typical wear marks to the front seats and some slight discolouration, but almost no perceptible wear to the rear seats.
• There are no known faults.
• The most recent MOT test was on 4 March 2021 at 111,958 km, which was a clean pass with no advisories or alerts whatsoever.

SERVICE HISTORY

• It was serviced in April 2021 at 111,957 km (69,567 miles) by Pitlane Service Centre in Sundon Park. This comprised replacement of the engine oil and filter, new power steering pipes, and renewal of the cam cover gaskets. New front tyres were also fitted.
• Prior to this, a major service was carried out in April 2020 by Pitlane, which included replacement of the cam belt and water pump, as well as the spark plugs and fuel filter.
• Since arriving in the UK, it has also been seen and serviced by Porsche specialists Williams Crawford, RGA Porsche, and Nine Excellence.

SUMMARY

This Porsche 928 S4 is presented in very good order, and won its class at a Porsche Club GB regional concours in 2016. Finished in a rare factory colour scheme, and remaining highly original throughout, this is a great value modern classic grand tourer with a wonderful V8 soundtrack and impressive recent maintenance history.
