1990 PORSCHE 911 (964) CARRERA 4 CABRIOLET

This Porsche 911 (964) Carrera 4 is a good example of the exciting open-top sports car, which appears to have been well-cared for. It is equipped with the naturally aspirated 3.6-litre M64 flax-six, coupled with the desirable five-speed manual transmission driving all four wheels. The odometer currently indicates 119,483 km from new.

The stylish bodywork of this 911 is all in excellent shape, with flush shut lines, smooth panels and no suggestion of any prior damage. Its dark blue paintwork is in very good condition, presenting with just a few small imperfections around the front and rear end. The blue soft-top roof is free of any significant scuffs, and the vinyl rear window retains a clear appearance. The vehicle rides on a set of 16-inch wheels, with some small age-related blemishes.

Inside, the blue leather upholstery is believed to be entirely original and presents with just some light creasing to the bolsters of the optional sport seats. The leather door card inserts are in good shape, as are the blue carpets and floor mats, though one or two small nicks can be seen in the rear. Some minor wear is visible on the gear knob and steering wheel, but overall they are in superb order. All of the electrics are believed to work as they should.

The last routine maintenance was undertaken in May 2019 at 116,122 km, where marque technicians at Porsche Maffeo Biella in northern Italy carried out a full service. Prior to this, technicians at the same garage carried out routine maintenance in September 2011 at 94,562 km, and in May 2006 at 86,939 km. Accompanying the vehicle are the original owner’s manuals and the stamped service book.

This Porsche 964 Carrera 4 Cabriolet is a very smart example of the breed, which has been well maintained and now presents in excellent cosmetic condition for its age. A fun companion for sunny weekends, this 964 would make a great acquisition for any enthusiast or dedicated collector.
