• Additional equipment includes an electric sunroof, a rear wiper and twin speakers mounted in the parcel shelf.
• It rides on a set of 17-inch ‘Cup 1’ alloy wheels, which have recently been refurbished and are unmarked.
• It is equipped with Bilstein B6 suspension dampers and Eibach springs, as well as a more modern Becker Grand Prix stereo.
• The car will be accompanied by all of its original handbooks and stamped service book contained in their correct wallet, as well as a folder of receipts and invoices for its past maintenance and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

CONDITION

• Believed to be fully original, the bodywork is in excellent, undamaged condition, with one small patch of corrosion at the top of each front wing.
• Overall, the Amazon Green Metallic Paintwork is in very good order, with a few minor blemishes around the car. These include a touched-in scratch on the front bumper, stone chips on the door mirror covers and minor surface rust on the B-pillars. The seller also notes that the rear driver’s-side quarter panel has previously been resprayed to rectify stone chips on the wheel arch; however, this was evidently done to a good standard.
• Inside, the car’s interior is in good shape. Both seats’ side­ sections have previously been replaced with new leather, while the centre panels and piping show modest wear. Furthermore, the leather-wrapped handbrake grip and gear knob are discoloured, but this is in line with the car’s age and mileage, and in keeping with a highly original car.
• There are no known electrical faults or mechanical issues, save for a minor oil leak from the thermostat.
• This Porsche’s last MOT test was conducted on 4 November 2020 at 75,423 miles, resulting in a first-time pass without a single warning or advisory.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This 964’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out in June 2019 at 74,643 miles by Porsche specialist Auto 2000. A 6,000-mile service, this included an engine oil and filter change, as well as renewal of the brake fluid. The rear bumper mounting point was also cut out and replaced with a new OEM part, the front and rear CV boots were replaced and new back plates were also fitted onto the front brakes.
• Furthermore, new Bilstein B6 shock absorbers, Eibach springs and Powerflex polyurethane bushes were fitted, enhancing the car’s handling.
• Prior to this, a major service was carried out in May 2015 at 72,466 miles by marque specialist Dove House Motors, who also replaced the engine mounts.
• The brake pipes and flexi hoses were changed in May 2013 at 70,048 miles, and the engine’s rocker cover and cam chain gaskets were resealed in October 2012, again by Dove House Motors.

SUMMARY

This 964-generation Porsche 911 Carrera 4 is a handsome example of the breed. Offered for sale in fine mechanical order, it features only a few minor cosmetic flaws, which its next owner can attend to in due course. However, it is ready to drive and enjoy immediately, and will make a fine companion for spirited weekend drives and long-distance tours alike.
