EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• An original UK-market car, this 944 S2 was specified in Alpine White over a Cobalt Blue vinyl and cloth interior.
• Optional equipment includes an electric sunroof and electric windows, a rear windscreen wiper, electrically adjustable door mirrors and air-conditioning, which all works without fault.
• While the car’s service book has been lost, it will be accompanied by a folder of receipts and invoices for maintenance covering the last 14 years.

CONDITION

• No known bodywork damage.
• The front and rear sections of the lower sills were restored in April 2021, with any corroded metal being cut out, replaced and repainted.
• The Alpine White paintwork is in excellent overall condition, with only a few minor blemishes. These include stone chips on the door mirror covers, a small indentation on the leading edge of the front panel and superficial marks on the rear edge of the driver’s door.
• The seller notes that the rear bumper has previously been sanded back and repainted to correct some slight crazing of the finish, and now presents very well.
• The car rides on the correct set of 16-inch ‘Design 90’ alloy wheels, which have previously been refurbished, and are in great shape.
• Inside, the blue vinyl and cloth upholstery is in great shape, and the driver’s seat bolsters have been recovered as their vinyl coverings had split, as shown in the image gallery.
• The interior trim is in good order, and the centre console armrest has also been retrimmed. While there are fine cracks in the vinyl covering the upper dashboard, and light wear on the leather-wrapped gear knob, this is to be expected given the age and mileage.
• The radio and speakers would benefit from replacement, and the indicator stalk occasionally fails to self-cancel after being flicked up for right-hand turns.
• There are no other known electrical faults, and all of the interior buttons and switches work as they should.
• This Porsche’s last MOT test was conducted on 19 May 2021 at 94,071 miles, resulting in a clean, first-time pass.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This 944’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out in April 2021 at 93,900 miles by classic and sports car specialist DBS Accident Repairs. A general service, this included an oil and filter change, as well as replacement of the brake discs and pads, one of the ABS sensors, and the battery.
• Prior to this, services were performed by Welsh Specialist Cars in 2017 and RS Porsche in 2015, while the cambelt was changed in 2011 at around 84,000 miles.
• During the seller’s ownership, various other maintenance items have been tended to, including replacement of the front and rear transaxle bushes, the rear windscreen wiper motor, the ABS pump and the bonnet catch.
