KEY FACTS

• A wonderful example of the classic open-top sports car, presented in excellent refurbished condition.
• It is powered by a 3.2-litre air-cooled flat-six, which produces 228bhp and drives the rear wheels via a Getrag G50 five-speed manual transmission.
• An original UK-market ‘C16-code’ car, this Carrera 3.2 was first registered in August 1989, and was acquired by its current owner two years ago. There are just three previous keepers on the V5C.
• During the seller’s ownership, the car has been treated to an extensive cosmetic refurbishment, which included a bare-metal respray and a full interior re-trim.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• This Carrera 3.2 was ordered with the desirable ‘Sport’ package, which comprises stiffer suspension with Bilstein dampers, the ‘whale tail’ rear spoiler and a front spoiler.
• It is finished in the classic hue of Grand Prix White, with a contrasting blue convertible hood and elegant Linen leather upholstery.
• Factory-fitted equipment includes the electrically operated convertible hood, electric windows, electric height adjustment for the sports seats and central locking.
• During its restoration, the bodywork was stripped back to bare metal and resprayed, the convertible hood, tonneau cover with case, and carpet were replaced; and the seats, dashboard, centre console, steering wheel, gear knob and door cards were re-trimmed.
• A number of mechanical components were also replaced, including the oil pipes and oil thermostat housing, the heating and cooling motor, stainless steel rear silencer, the CV boots and the wiper arms.
• Furthermore, the 16-inch Fuchs alloy wheels were refurbished, and are now in superb order.
• Today, the car presents almost exactly as when it first left the factory, save for its upgraded Blaupunkt Bremen stereo, which features DAB+ radio and phone connectivity.
• This 911 will be accompanied by its original handbooks and stamped service book, as well as its full tool kit and a substantial file of invoices for its past maintenance.

CONDITION

• No known prior bodywork damage.
• Having been fully resprayed, the Grand Prix White paintwork is pristine, with no noticeable marks or blemishes of any kind.
• Re-trimmed by Porsche specialist Southbound Motor Trimmers in August 2020, the cabin is also in great shape and the seats looks pristine. The car has hardly been driven since the re-trim.
• There are no known electrical or mechanical issues with the vehicle.
• The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 11 February 2021 at 74,952 miles, resulting in a first-time pass with no warnings or advisories.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This 911’s most recent routine maintenance was a major service, which was carried out in June 2019 at 73,559 miles by marque specialist HP Porsche.
• More recently, HP Porsche replaced the oil pipes, thermostat housing and CV gaiter in June 2021 at 75,388 miles.
