EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• Finished in the classic Porsche shade of Guards Red, complemented by Linen leather seats edged in co-ordinating red piping, this is a genuine C16-code, UK-supplied model.
• Most Speedsters were specified with the wide body ‘Turbo’ look, as this one was. Furthermore, the model features a shorter aluminium-framed windscreen that has a shallower rake, and a ‘double bubble’ rear cover housing the fabric soft top, giving a distinctive look when viewed from behind. The seats are also mounted lower in the cabin.
• The 911 Speedster was created as a pared-back performance variant, omitting air conditioning, electric windows and even power steering. This focus on weight-saving translates to a 0-60 time of 5.4 seconds and a top speed of 152mph.
• The Super Sport Equipment included 911 Turbo axle brackets and stabilisers, and more powerful brakes.
• The car rides on its original Fuchs alloy wheels which are shod in Bridgestone tyres, and which are wider at the rear in order to maximise traction.
• The specified options list includes: recoil bumpers, limited-slip differential, shortened gear lever, heated driver’s seat, electric seats, deletion of front and rear spoiler, Super Sport Equipment and luggage compartment trimmed in black velour carpet.
• The only modification is the addition of a stainless steel exhaust system.
• The car comes with all handbooks and service books, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity folder, extensive invoices and receipts, MOT history, old tax discs, a certificate from Porsche Club Great Britain, jack and spare wheel, original toolkit, touch-up pen and two keys with alarm remotes.

CONDITION

• The car has no known bodywork damage.
• The Guards Red paint presents excellently, and it is believed to be original. The only imperfections are exceptionally minor, with perhaps the odd tiny stone chip, and a very small chip in the paint on the left leading edge of the ‘double bubble’ rear cover.
• The interior is also in superb condition and is again assumed to be the factory-supplied Linen upholstery. The only imperfections are some very minor wear to the gear lever and some slight discolouration to the rear carpet, which the owner has stated will be cleaned prior to the sale.
• The only known fault is that the motor powering the electric driver’s seat is non-functional.
• The most recent MOT test was in April 2021 at 14,349 miles, resulting in a first-time pass with no advisories recorded. The car’s records show that it has always passed first time and with no advisories.

SERVICE HISTORY

• The last service was undertaken in April 2019 at 14,238 miles by Porsche Centre Leeds, when the car received a major service, including: oil filter replacement, renewed oil, replacement pollen filter, replacement air and fuel filters, and a brake fluid service.
• Prior to this, Porsche Centre Leeds undertook a minor service on the car in May 2017 at 14,162 miles.
• The owner states that there are two clerical errors on the April 2019 invoice showing a mileage of 22,999 and the model as a 991-era 911 – however, they stated the correct mileage in the stamped book.
