EQUIPMENT AND OPTIONS

• The M3 Evolution is virtually identical to the standard E30 with the exception of a revised cylinder head, identifiable by an ‘E’ cast into the metal. Official peak power remained unchanged from the standard car.
• This example is fitted with the rare black leather Recaro seats and rear sun blind.
• A short-shift kit has been installed by the vendor.
• Included with the vehicle is a superb service history including stamped service book, along with the original handbooks and a plethora of invoices and receipts.

CONDITION

• No known body damage.
• The paintwork is in generally excellent condition, though it is not believed to be entirely original. There is minor bubbling noted on the nearside rear roof pillar and a very minor blemish to the rear number plate panel.
• The interior is in great shape with a handsome patina, and believed to be entirely original apart from the short-shift kit.
• The rear bench seat has an area of loose stitching which will need attending to, while the front seat bolsters show signs of wear which is commensurate with the mileage.
• The vendor reports that the headlight height adjustment is not functioning correctly, but there are no other known faults.
• The most recent MOT test took place on 03 July 2020 and resulted in a clean first-time pass with no advisories.

SERVICE HISTORY

• The vehicle was most recently serviced on 23 July 2020 by the vendor at 226,658km which comprised of a standard oil and filter change.
• Prior to this, the vehicle was serviced in August 2017 and April 2013 with the latter including new rear brake discs, pads and handbrake shoes along with the fitment of the Scorpion stainless-steel exhaust.

SUMMARY

A superb and largely original example of the sought-after BMW M3 Evo 1, this vehicle benefits from a desirable factory specification. With its impressive performance and ‘homologation special’ status, this E30 would make a great addition to any collection of modern classics or performance BMWs.
