1986 PORSCHE 911 (930) TURBO 'FLACHBAU' CONVERSION

KEY FACTS

  • A thrilling 1980s ‘poster car’, which has been converted to flatnose specification using all metal Porsche factory parts, and boasts a number of substantial performance upgrades.
  • Under the engine cover is the 3.3-litre turbocharged flat-six, which can produce in excess of 400bhp on demand, and is coupled to a four-speed manual transmission.
  • This 930 Turbo was converted and mechanically enhanced by Dage Sport Ltd in the early 1990s.

EQUIPMENT AND OPTIONS

  • Finished in the demure hue of Falsen Green, it features a Linen leather interior and rides on a set of 16-inch Fuchs alloy wheels.
  • In addition to its modified bodywork, this 930 has also been fitted with an enlarged intercooler, an upgraded fuel system, a genuine Porsche 935 boost gauge, an uprated wastegate and a variable boost controller, allowing the engine to comfortably produce around 400bhp.
  • Its stopping power has been enhanced via a set of GT2 brake callipers, and the suspension components have also been upgraded.
  • The car will be accompanied by all of its original handbooks, as well as documentation of its service history, a number of invoices for its maintenance and various past MOT test certificates.

CONDITION

  • No known bodywork damage.
  • Today, the Falsen Green metallic paintwork is in excellent condition, and the front bumper has been resprayed in recent years to correct some finish cracking and stone chips.
  • Inside, the Linen leather-trimmed cabin is in great shape, with some minor age-related wear but no rips, tears or other damage.
  • There are no known electrical or mechanical faults; however, the seller states that the air-conditioning system is not functioning and will need to be re-gassed.
  • The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 9 December 2020 at 32,180 miles, resulting in a clean, first-time pass.

SERVICE HISTORY

  • This Turbo’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out in December 2020 at 32,000 miles by marque specialist RPM Technik, which consisted of an oil and filter change.
  • During the seller’s four years of ownership, they have spent around £6,000 on the car’s maintenance, including rectification of minor electrical issues and a clutch replacement in 2017.
