EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

CONDITION

• The bright red paintwork of this 911 is described by the seller as good and it certainly belies its age. With no repainting during his ownership, it is remarkably fade-free. The front bonnet has some chips which have been touched in, as has a scratch to the passenger door. There is a small area of crazing to the rear nearside wing and light bubbling to the A-pillar, but neither detracts significantly from the overall appearance.
• The soft-top is both fully functioning and free from tears. The plastic rear-screen is taught and free of clouding.
• The tan leather seats and door cards are in fine condition with minimal wear evident on the driver’s seat base. The colour has faded from the offside-rear seat backs, but the dashboard and carpets are in good order.
• There are no known mechanical or electrical faults.
• The most recent MOT test was carried out on 10 November 2020 at 53,520 miles and resulted in an advisory-free pass.

SERVICE HISTORY

• The last service was carried out by Alan Stokes Automotive Engineering in June 2019 at 53,469 miles. In addition to the oil and filter, the air and fuel filters and spark plugs were all changed. A rocker cover gasket was also renewed and the valve clearances checked and adjusted.
• In August 2017 the rear offside brake calliper was replaced and the brake fluid renewed, and in May 2017 the heat exchangers and exhaust cross-pipes were replaced.
• It has been put through annual MOT tests, with any necessary remedial work carried out.

SUMMARY

Rarely offered with so few miles and from such long-term ownership, this particular Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Cabriolet is in good mechanical order and appears to be highly original.
