This Porsche 928 is an excellent example of the 1980s GT car, and is a past concours winner in solid mechanical condition. Under the bonnet is a 4.5-litre, V8 engine, coupled to a three-speed automatic transmission. The odometer reads 164,699 km.

A luxurious coupe, the 928 blends Porsche's world-renowned sports car capability with the comfort and practicality of a true grand tourer. First registered in April 1982, this example has been with the current owner for the last seven years and was the winner of the best original car over 30 years at the Porsche Club of NSW's 2014 Concours d'Elegance.

Finished in the stunning dark red metallic colour scheme, the owner describes the paintwork to be in good condition overall. There are some minor stone chips on the bonnet and the offside front wing, with the same side of the vehicle having had its rear wing repainted. The owner also reports a rust repair where the rear spoiler bracket is located, with a small paint bubble visible. As illustrated by the photo set below, the overall impression is of a well-cared for and well-presented example.

Inside, the Porsche is in excellent condition, with the owner reporting that the tan-coloured leather has been reupholstered in the past, and it complements the exterior hue very well. There is some minor wear on the driver's seat and a small scratch in the leather on the rear centre section. Some general wear is also visible around the other exterior trims, including some chipping of the paint around the electric window buttons. The owner reports all of the main controls, switches and electrics to be in excellent working order, with just the cruise control not currently operating. The instrument cluster has had a recent overhaul, and the speedometer and tachometer, plus the temperature, fuel, oil pressure and voltmeter gauges are all accurate and working correctly.

The vehicle underwent a full service in July 2016 when the odometer read 159,235 km, with the engine oil and filter changed, the coolant replaced and a new air filter fitted. Prior to this, a major mechanical service was performed in August 2014 at Buchanan Automotive, where the timing belt was changed, pulleys and tensioners replaced, and a new water pump was also fitted. Other maintenance work was carried out at the time and receipts are supplied with the vehicle.

In addition, the very clean engine bay has been treated to a new distributor cap and rotor, replacement of the under-bonnet fuel hose, as well as a new fuel pump. The front shock absorbers have been replaced and a new brake master cylinder and fluid fitted in June 2014. The vehicle last underwent a technical inspection on 12 November 2020 and passed with no warnings or advisories being issued. Included in the sale is the owner's manual, service history book replaced by the dealer in 1989, and 27 years of receipts.
