KEY FACTS

• A fantastically well-preserved example of the rare homologation special, presented in highly original condition throughout and in excellent overall condition.
• Under the hood sits the 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four, which sends 207bhp to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
• Believed to be the 17^th example built, this Carrera GT was imported from Amsterdam to the United States in September 2013, and its odometer displays a very reasonable 61,431 miles from new.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• Created to homologate the humble 924 model for Group 4 competition requirements (though ultimately raced under the GTP category at Le Mans in 1980), the Carrera GT is powered by a modified version of the engine from the 924 Turbo, enhanced by a top-mounted intercooler, a digital ignition system and a higher compression ratio.
• Most notably, the 924 Carrera GT has a far more aggressive and purposeful look compared to its more sedate forebear, featuring substantially flared wheel arches, a sizeable rear spoiler and a large bonnet scoop, as well as lower ride height thanks to its sportier suspension setup and Bilstein dampers.
• Finished in Diamond Silver Metallic, this example is contrasted with black fabric upholstery accompanied by red pinstripes and matching piping, and wears 15-inch Fuchs alloy wheels.
• Equipment includes a fully functioning air conditioning system, heated and electrically adjustable door mirrors and a rear wiper, and the car rides on the correct set of 15-inch Fuchs alloy wheels.
• The only non-standard item fitted to the car is its modern Alpine radio/CD player with Bluetooth connectivity.
• It will be accompanied by a substantial file of documents detailing its maintenance history, as well as its correct driver’s manual and Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

CONDITION

• There is no known bodywork damage.
• The Diamond Silver paintwork is believed to be fully original and is described by the vendor as being in excellent overall condition, with only a few minor blemishes and scratches around the car, which is in line with its age and mileage.
• All four of the Fuchs alloy wheels are in great shape, with no noticeable chips or scuffs.
• Inside, the black vinyl and cloth-trimmed interior is in great condition given the car’s age. As is to be expected, there are some light signs of wear on the interior plastics, but the upholstery is free of any rips, tears or other damage.
• There are no known electrical or mechanical faults.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This 924 Carrera GT’s last service was conducted in March 2020 and included replacement of the timing belt.
• The car will be accompanied by fully documentation of its service history from new.
