CONDITION

• No known accident damage.
• Guards Red paintwork in fair condition. It was resprayed when the spoilers were added in 1991, but now has minor chips and blemishes in the finish as shown in the gallery.
• There is some common corrosion around the wing and headlight areas, as well as an area needing attention on the nearside sill in the door shut.
• White leather upholstery all in good order for its age, though with a small split in the piping on the driver’s seat. Some creasing and discolouration throughout, which could be improved by a re-connolising treatment.
• Gear selector bushes may require replacing to rectify some play in the gear knob.
• No electrical faults have been detected.
• The most recent MOT test was on 12 September 2019 at 146,895 miles, which was a pass with four advisories after some welding work was completed over the previous two months. The nearside front seat and seatbelt were removed at the time of the re-test but are now back in, and there was also some slight play in the offside front wheel bearing, and a minor central rear oil leak.

SERVICE HISTORY

• Its most recent scheduled maintenance was undertaken in 2019 at around 143,000 miles, where technicians changed the engine oil and filters.
• Welding work was carried out to the underside during summer 2019, while various suspension components have been replaced.
• An invoice in the history file shows that the engine and gearbox were rebuilt at 137,389 miles by specialist Nelson Porsche. This included new big end, intermediate and main bearings; new piston rings, valve guides, and cam covers; and all new gaskets and seals throughout. The gearbox was fitted with new first and second gear baulk rings and synchro rings, and with all new seals and gaskets.
