NO RESERVE: 1972 CHEVROLET CORVETTE STINGRAY (C3)

KEY FACTS

• A fully restored 1970s American muscle car, which is understood to have an uprated engine, and presents in a superb colour scheme.

• The VIN corresponds to an original 1972 model Corvette C3 coupe built at the St Louis, Missouri, factory that was equipped with a 350ci (5.7-litre) V8.
• The engine block casting number visible is 3970010, which also corresponds to a period-correct 350ci V8, though it is believed to be stroked to a 6.3-litre capacity.
• There are a number of upgraded components, including a K&N air filter and Hooker Super Competition exhaust headers.
• Its extensive restoration is fully documented in the accompanying history file, with a photographic record as well as detailed paperwork.
• An original 1972 owner’s manual is present, as well as a spare key.

CONDITION

• There is no known prior body damage, though if any repairs were necessary they would evidently have been attended to during the restoration.
• Its Light Blue paintwork is in excellent overall condition.
• The interior was fully re-trimmed as part of the restoration and it presents superbly.
• There are no known electrical or mechanical faults, and the car has been driven very sparingly since the refurbishment was completed.
• The most recent MOT test was carried out on 23 April 2018, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories after the handbrake was repaired, a headlight was adjusted and the windscreen washer fluid topped up. The car is exempt from mandatory annual MOT testing on the basis of age.

This Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is a true American icon, which has been lovingly restored, and which remains in superb condition some 15 years later thanks to careful storage and sparing use.
