EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• This 2000 Touring has been resprayed in its original hue of Fjord Blue metallic, and features Navy Blue leatherette upholstery with cloth-covered seat centres.
• It rides on the correct set of 13-inch steel wheels.
• While it is largely original, the owner replaced the original stereo and speaker with a Blaupunkt Bluetooth-enabled head unit and stereo speaker prior to the restoration work at JFI Classic Cars.
• The car will be accompanied by its original bill of sale from 1972, extensive documentation of its service history from 4,000 miles to 60,000 miles, a Haynes workshop manual, and an all-season waterproof car cover.

CONDITION

• There is no damage to the car’s replacement bodyshell, which was used simply due to age-related corrosion on the original rather than any accident damage.
• The car was resprayed to a high standard by JFI Classic Cars during its restoration, and as a result the paintwork is very good throughout. There is a circa 3mm scratch to the nearside rear quarter panel, and a small scuff on the same panel below the black trim line, as shown in the gallery.
• All of the chrome trim items are present and correct, and were left original rather than being re-plated.
• All four steel wheels retain their chrome dish covers, which are in good order, but the wheels themselves have some surface corrosion.
• Inside, the cabin presents in good order throughout, and the front seats are in excellent shape having been re-trimmed. The rear seats retain their original upholstery and show various wear, though the headliner and seatbelts were replaced during the restoration process and are unmarked.
• There are no known electrical or mechanical faults.
• The most recent MOT test took place on 05 February 2021, resulting in a pass with advisories for slightly defective headlight reflectors and corrosion on the rear coil springs.

SERVICE HISTORY

• The latest service was carried out by JFI Classic Cars at approximately 128,000 miles. Work included a carburetor and engine clean, an engine oil and filter change, and replacement of the brake servos, amongst other items
• The vendor has always carried out an annual oil change as required during their ownership.
