EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
- The body was imported from the US in 2010 and was rebuilt according to the plans of an original 914/6 GT, adding reinforced mounts, sheet metal wing extensions, the oil cooler and brakes from a 911 S, and a motorsport oil console.
- It is also fitted with a lightweight bonnet and boot with quick-release fasteners.
- The car features several number ‘3’ decals, in tribute to the original Marathon de la Route car driven by Björn Waldegaard, Guy Chasseuil and Åke Andersson.
- Its 2.0-litre aluminium engine block was rebuilt to 2.5-litre short-stroke rally specification by Bienert Motorsport, inspired by the 2.5-litre S/T 911 engine. It now features Weber 40 carburettors, a dual ignition and an additional oil cooler.
- The car rides on Bilstein suspension, with 911 S suspension struts.
- A set of Recaro seats and Sandtler harnesses have been fitted in the cabin.
- Its original certificate of title will be included.
CONDITION
- There is no known bodywork damage.
- Its resprayed Signal Orange paintwork is in excellent condition, though a few minor blemishes can be seen on the car’s black and green front bumper.
- Inside, the Recaro seats appear in superb condition. There are a few scratches around the heater controls, and some of the dashboard plastics are slightly faded.
- No electrical faults have been detected.
SERVICE HISTORY
- Its most recent service was in October 2020, where technicians at Sportwagen Neumann in Viernheim, Germany changed the engine oil.

This Porsche 914/6 'GT Tribute' is a capable classic race car, which has been styled after the famous Marathon de la Route entrants, which achieved a ‘1,2,3’ finish in the gruelling 1970 event. While it does not currently meet classic FIA requirements for the model, this 914/6 would be ideal as a fun historic motorsport competitor, or a thrilling lightweight B-road or track day toy.
