On Sunday 1 October, the Collecting Cars team hosted another Coffee Run – but this time it was our very first event in France, to introduce members and followers to our new local consignment team.

The gathering took place in the grounds of the spectacular Château de Ferrières in the outskirts of Paris, and as you might expect, there was an equally impressive assembly of cars that turned up to join us.

Some of the highlights included a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, AMG GT Black Series, multiple examples of the Ferrari 458 Speciale, and even a lightweight Dallara. Of course, it is the eclectic nature of our Coffee Runs that always makes us smile. Classic 1970s Datsun Z-cars arrived with millennium-era BMW M legends; luxurious high-performance Audis lined up alongside pared-back Mazda MX-5s; and pre-war Rolls-Royces parked up next to the latest ‘Rennsport’ Porsche 911 models.

Plenty of refreshment was on offer during the day, with delicious coffee served, appropriately enough, from the back end of a Citroen 2CV Fourgonnette.

Fuelled with drinks and pastries, the energy and enthusiasm of the French car community was clear to see. New friends were made, old friends reunited, and plenty of discussion was had about the rarer breeds on display.

This was a significant ‘market launch’ event for Collecting Cars, and we were pleased to meet so many of our followers during the day, many of whom had potential consignments to discuss with our team.

One of the most frequent questions we received on the day was “When is the next event?”. Rest assured, we look forward to hosting another Coffee Run in France, so keep a close eye on our Events section, and make sure you are subscribed to our email updates.
