The Heselden Collection: Live On Collecting Cars Splash

Representing the platform’s fifth prominent collection sale of the year, our team is very excited to launch a remarkable set of cars known as The Heselden Collection.

The Heselden Collection: Auction End Sunday 26/09

While previous sales have focused on particular marques, or cars with a particular focus, The Heselden Collection brings together an impressive range of iconic vehicles that offer a great breadth of ability.

Of the 17 lots on offer, there are five Porsches, three fast Fords, and two Land Rover Defenders. A stunning limited-edition Lamborghini is also present, along with two VW icons, a brace of Lancias, and a pair of legendary Renault hot hatches.

The Heselden Collection: Low mileage, well-preserved cars

The recurring theme for most vehicles in The Heselden Collection is low mileage, well-preserved cars, which showcase evident quality and originality.

Its five Porsches comprise a 993 Turbo and 997 Sport Classic, as well as two rare 991 generation models in the form of a Speedster and a Turbo S Exclusive Series. While these are sensational supercars, the star attraction is undoubtedly an exceptional 911 Reimagined by Singer - a high-specification car and one of very few Targa models produced.

The blue-collar performance heroes in the collection include three fast Fords that are all in outstanding condition. A pristine Fiesta XR2 with just 19,783 miles on the odometer shares garage space with 13,389-mile Sierra RS Cosworth 4x4 acquired from a single previous owner. Also on offer is a multiple concours-winning Escort RS Cosworth that is known as one of the most original and outstanding examples of the breed.

Hot hatch fans will also be pleased to see not just one, but two Lancia Delta HF Integrales. Both are low-mileage cars; one in Rosso Monza over Grey and the second in Metallic Black over Sage Green. An original and unmodified Renault Clio Williams 3 is also present, along with an ancestor in the form of a superb and subtly upgraded Renault 5 Turbo 2.

Two iconic Land Rovers will also capture the attention of discerning enthusiasts. A 400bhp Defender V8 Works 70th Edition with delivery mileage is offered in immaculate condition, and is one of just 150 built. Even rarer is the Defender SVX ‘Spectre’ - one of the 10 original film cars from the 2015 James Bond production, in full Bowler ‘Bigfoot’ specification.

The Heselden Collection: V8 Defender

One of the most exotic cars in the collection is the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Miura Homage. Believed to be one of only three cars delivered new to the UK, it is finished in the heritage colour scheme of black and gold, has just two keepers from new, and just 1,806 miles on the odometer.

The Heselden Collection: Porsche 911 (991.2) Turbo S Exclusive Series

While most of the cars are original, both Volkswagens have been treated to extensive restorations. The first is a Golf Mk1 GTI Rivage Cabriolet - one of only 470 UK cars, and finished in the rarest Classic Green colour - while the second is a striking Type 2 Single Cab Pick-Up, painted in a retro-inspired Porsche motorsport livery, and which would make a great promotional vehicle for a business or classic racing team.

Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer

The Heselden Collection has been assembled by a discerning enthusiast with an eye for the iconic, who has acquired some of the most sought-after performance cars of their respective generations, resulting in an assembly of vehicles that spans five decades. While they have thoroughly enjoyed owning these landmark cars, it is now our pleasure to offer them for sale to another set of enthusiasts.
