BORRANI WHEELS FOR FERRARI 250 SWB

This is a full set of four original Borrani wire wheels, which are the correct fitment for the legendary Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta. Borrani’s own website indicates that they could also be fitted to the 250 GTE 2+2 as a wider wheel choice.

The wheels are built with alloy rims and have 42mm hubs. They are marked with ‘RUOTE BORRANI - MILANO’ and ‘15 X 6 00 RECORD RW 3690’ around the rims, denoting a 15-inch diameter and 6.0-inch width.

While they appear to be sound and usable as a ‘rough and ready’ set, these Borrani wire wheels would of course benefit from a professional rebuild and refurbishment by a wire wheel specialist, followed by a correct re-chroming treatment. One of the wheels is also fitted with a period style Dunlop Racing tyre, which is included.

This original set of wheels for one of Ferrari’s most celebrated road cars would make a useful replacement set for anyone fortunate enough to have a 250 GT SWB in their garage. They could of course also be repurposed by a Ferrari fan, perhaps transformed into a bespoke piece of automobile-inspired furniture. Whatever their destiny, this is a rare set of genuine Borranis, that would make an interesting item for any collection.
