'TOO 510W' - NUMBER PLATE

This cherished registration mark could be a great way to add a more personal touch to any fast car — from a Bugatti Veyron or a Porsche 959 to a BMW Z4 or a Ford Mustang. As a tongue-in-cheek nod to the driver that likes to put the pedal to the metal, this plate may be the perfect finishing touch to their high-horsepower car.

The plate can be assigned to any car first registered from 1 August 1980 to the present day. It was famously used on Lamborghini Countach chassis 1121320 while in the ownership of Tim Dutton-Wooley. The editorial photo shown here appeared on a cover of 'Alternative Cars' magazine in 1983.

The registration 'TOO 510W' is an eye-catching number plate, which is currently held on a V778 Retention Certificate.

Bidders should note that for the duration of the auction, the registration plate 'TOO 510W' is offered exclusively on the Collecting Cars platform. Unfortunately, it is common for brokers and dealers of these plates to offer registration marks speculatively. Any marketing from a source that is not Collecting Cars should be disregarded.

Please note: the winning bid on a number plate is subject to Collecting Cars’ standard buyer's premium of 6%, with a minimum premium of £600 and a maximum premium of £6,000. This is clearly stated in the pop-up bid confirmation window, but please ensure you have factored this in before placing your bid.
