MERCEDES-BENZ MCLAREN SLR - ORIGINAL WHEELS

This lot is a complete set of four original Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren wheels, which are presented in near-pristine condition.

The alloys are staggered in size, with a 19 x 9-inch fitment for the front axle, and 19 x 11.5-inch for the rear wheels. As the alloys are also ‘directional’, each one is unique to one corner of the car. The wheels were removed from a delivery-mileage car in 2006, with all four remaining in superb order, showing only a couple of tiny imperfections visible in the photos.

The Mercedes-Benz part numbers for these wheels are A1994010802 (front) and A1994010902 (rear). The alloys are currently shod in Michelin Pilot Sport tyres, which are date-coded to 2005. They should be renewed given their age, but ultimately have ample tread and no signs of cracking or perishing.

These alloys could make an ideal spare set for a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren owner, perhaps if they wish to keep one set immaculate for show use, and another less pristine for road use. They may also be ideal as a second set to use in colder months if fitted with winter tyres.
