MCLAREN F1 TOOLS

The McLaren F1 frequently tops lists of what many enthusiasts consider to be the greatest car of all. Its combination of incredible outright performance, well thought-out packaging, and impressive comfort and refinement still set it apart from many contemporary supercars.

This lot consists of a remarkably rare, genuine set of spanners and pliers from an original McLaren F1 tool kit. Fabricated in titanium by French specialist manufacturer Facom, the tools were then given a titanium nitride coating resulting in the gold ceramic coated finish.

While the original full tool kit came in a leather roll pouch along with hex keys and smaller screwdriver bits, this is an authentic complete set of five spanners and the original pliers. All of the tools remain in excellent condition; the dark residue on the pliers being confirmed as the protective lubricant and not corrosion.

As well as being eminently usable items should the next owner so desire, these tools also represent a fascinating piece of supercar memorabilia. They would be a fun gift for a McLaren F1 enthusiast, and are an exceptionally rare find.
