FERRARI ILLUMINATED SIGN

Ferrari’s prancing horse emblem - more correctly the ‘Cavallino Rampante’ - is one of the most storied icons of any manufacturer. Said to have been inspired by the use of the logo by Italian pilot Francesco Baracca, which in turn was the product of Baracca’s time at the Pinerolo cavalry school, the Cavallino first appeared as the Scuderia Ferrari motif in July 1932.

Along with the Ferrari script, with its elongated arm at the top of the ‘F’, it has become an instantly recognisable automotive emblem, associated with some of the most memorable road and race cars in history.

This lot comprises a large, single-sided and illuminated Ferrari sign, which would be a wonderful addition for a car-themed room or a garage. The item was sourced from Italy, and is understood to be an official ‘new old stock’ item, which has never been used - and its pristine condition certainly supports that.

The dimensions of the sign are 140cm (height) x 65cm (width) x 14cm (depth). It is fabricated from moulded plastic for the illuminated section, with a metal rim casing. The power supply is a European type two-pin connection that will require a converter to plug into a three-pin UK source.
