FERRARI DINO 246 GT BOOKS AND POUCH SET

This complete book pack for the Dino 246 GT or GTS is a wonderful set of period literature. It includes an original brown leather pouch, owner’s manual, spare parts catalogue, warranty booklet, and dealer directory.

The owner’s manual is correct for E-series Dinos from chassis 02132 onwards, while the parts catalogue is relevant for cars after chassis 02768. The ring-bound dealer directory is from 1974, so would originally have been delivered with 246 GT and GTS models towards the end of the Dino production run.

The blue cover warranty booklet included in this set was assigned to chassis number 04908, a US specification Dino 246 GT. It is stamped with the first owner’s name, and shows a delivery date of 24 May 1974.

The books present in very smart condition for their age, with only minor marks and some edgeworn pages. There is also a crease on the back cover of the parts catalogue, though all of the binding is in good order. The leather pouch has some wear to the corners and spine, the silk lining has frayed along one edge join, and there is some staining inside.

Overall, this is a complete set of books that presents well, which would be a great addition to a Dino 246 GT or GTS that currently lacks the factory-supplied literature. It acts as a wonderful snapshot of Ferrari history, so even as a curio, it would be an interesting item for any enthusiast’s collection.
