FERRARI BRIEFCASE ATTACHÉ TOOL KIT 1976-1989

This lot is a complete but age-worn briefcase tool kit, which is understood to be the correct set for several Ferrari models built from 1976 through to 1989, including the 365 GT4 2+2, 400 and 412 models, and the 512 BB.

The attaché style case is trimmed in black, with bare metal fixtures and two locking latches. Inside are the original soft-touch red trays, as well as the moulded lit insert to keep the tools in place when closed. It comes with two keys for the briefcase locks.

On the upper tray of the case is a complete set of Everest wrenches, which are patinated but in good order, original pliers with the correct red handle sheaths, and a Weber carburettor adjustment key.

The lower tray contains a set of four screwdrivers as well as a spark plug wrench, oil filter tension wrench, spare bulbs and fuses, and a spare spark plug. As with the wrenches, these tools are aged and have some surface corrosion and pitting in places, but the set is complete and could likely be improved with some careful cleaning and rust removal.

This kit is understood to be correct for each of the 1970s and 1980s Ferrari models named above, and would be a wonderfully original item to ‘complete’ a car, or as a genuinely useful tool kit for maintenance tasks on the road.
