FERRARI 333 SP JUNIOR RACE KART

The Ferrari 333 SP represented the marque’s return to sports car racing after 20 years, and featured a high-revving F1-derived V12, producing up to 650hp at 11,000rpm. Only 40 were built, and fewer raced, with the model notching up multiple wins in the IMSA GT Championship for which it was designed.



This lot is a fantastic ‘half scale’ replica of the prototype racer, crafted as a faithful homage to the 1994 333 SP. It features the same bluff nose, deep side air intakes and scoop over the engine cover, and the front and rear bodywork is fully detachable.

The car is crafted in fibreglass over a full tubular steel chassis. It is powered by a 125cc two-stroke water-cooled Gilera engine, producing around 30hp at 12,000rpm, and coupled to a six-speed gearbox. There are two front brake discs and one rear disc, with adjustable bias.

Its dimensions are approximately 2.5 metres in length and 1.4 metres in width. Given its ‘go kart’ style size and driving setup, this 333 SP replica is suitable for adults to drive as well as older children.

This Ferrari 333 SP Junior ‘race kart’ is a scaled-down version of an iconic 1990s prototype competitor, and it is believed to be unique. Having been repainted, it now presents very well indeed, and also comes with the trailer shown in the gallery enabling it to be towed more readily. It would make a wonderful gift for any young motorsport enthusiast or budding racer, not to mention a fun centrepiece to add to any collection of Ferraris.
