The winning bidder of this lot will receive two VVIP passes for Sunday at the 2021 Goodwood Festival of Speed. These passes provide access usually reserved only for the biggest motorsport stars and CEOs of the major sponsors, and they have been kindly donated by the Duke of Richmond himself. The winning bidder and their guest will have access to the Sponsors Area alongside the track, as well as lunch and tea in Goodwood House.

Since its inception in 1993, the Festival of Speed has become one of the greatest spectacles in the motoring calendar. In many ways it defies categorisation as an event, so rich and diverse are the cars, bikes and drivers on show. It has also become the place for manufacturers to showcase their latest wares, and the entertainment on offer is mesmerising.

As the 2020 event has been postponed, dates for the 2021 Festival of Speed will be announced later this year. As always, it will bring together a truly astonishing mix of road and racing cars, as well as the most famous motorsport champions and personalities.

All proceeds from this auction will go towards the Hope for Tomorrow and Halow Project charities, which are supported by V Management's Veloce fundraising operation. In just three years, its Veloce charity track day at Goodwood has made a huge impact, and in 2019 it raised over £140,000 for good causes. The charities that Veloce supports are Hope for Tomorrow, which supplies mobile cancer care units to NHS Trusts, and the Halow Project that supports young people with a learning disability. 

With the restrictions in place around Covid-19, the fundraising plans for 2020 had to change, and Collecting Cars is proud to partner with V Management to deliver this year's Veloce initiatives through our online auctions. The incredible charity consignments have been pulled together thanks to Veloce's sponsors, as well as Derek Bell, Damon Hill, Ross Brawn, Richard Attwood, Marino Franchitti, Darren Turner, and other fantastic drivers and supporters.
