The winner of this lot will be a guest at next year’s incredible Veloce Charity Track Day at Goodwood Motor Circuit.
Veloce has been described by some as "the greatest track day on the planet". When it launched in 2017, the concept of this charity day was to offer 75 guests the experience of being driven around Goodwood by famous racing drivers in some of the greatest cars ever built, spanning more than 100 years of automotive history.
In just three short years, Veloce’s drivers have included Derek Bell, Damon Hill, Gerhard Berger, Andy Wallace, Richard Attwood, Ross Brawn, Dario and Marino Franchitti, Darren Turner, Andrew Jordan, Jamie Chadwick and others. The astonishing assembly of cars has included a Ferrari 250 GTO, no fewer than four Ferrari 250 SWBs, two Ford GT40s, a Jaguar D-Type, two C-Types, two Aston Martin DB3Ss, a Pagani Zonda, a LaFerrari Aperta… the list goes on and on.
This lot is your chance to be part of next year’s event in September 2021, during which you will be driven by both Derek Bell and Damon Hill in legendary classic and sports cars like these.
The fun starts when you and a guest attend the sponsors’ and drivers’ party and barbecue at The Kennels the night before. You will also be treated to a room that night at the prestigious Goodwood Hotel. The following day you will join the 75 guests for a truly unforgettable experience: blasting around Goodwood in a spectacular array of cars with motor racing legends at the wheel. This is quite simply an event like no other, so don’t miss your chance to be a part of it!
The 2021 line-up of cars is yet to be confirmed, but the attendees in 2019 included:
All proceeds from this auction will go towards the Hope for Tomorrow and Halow Project charities, which are supported by V Management's Veloce fundraising operation. In just three years, its Veloce charity track day at Goodwood has made a huge impact, and in 2019 it raised over £140,000 for good causes. The charities that Veloce supports are Hope for Tomorrow, which supplies mobile cancer care units to NHS Trusts, and the Halow Project that supports young people with a learning disability.
With the restrictions in place around Covid-19, the fundraising plans for 2020 had to change, and Collecting Cars is proud to partner with V Management to deliver this year's Veloce initiatives through our online auctions. The incredible charity consignments have been pulled together thanks to Veloce's sponsors, as well as Derek Bell, Damon Hill, Ross Brawn, Richard Attwood, Marino Franchitti, Darren Turner, and other fantastic drivers and supporters.
Please bid generously! For charity auctions, there is no buyer's premium.
