Following our Instagram Live Takeover with Max Girardo of Girardo & Co., we are offering this Ferrari 250 GTO Plexiglass model from Max’s collection of automobilia for auction, with all proceeds going toward NHS Charities Together to support their fight against the recent coronavirus pandemic.

The model is of chassis 3445GT — participant in period of the Targa Florio, 12 Hours of Sebring, Coppa Inter Europa, 12 Hours of Reims, and more. It is one of the most well-known examples of the 250 GTO, being a regular visitor to Pebble Beach and the Cavallino Classic, and is the only car finished in the bright blue and yellow livery of Sweden — a product of being owned and raced by Scandinavian racer Ulf Norinder.

It was manufactured by artisan Paolo Gaffuri of 'Storiche In Legno' in Brescia, Italy, and is crafted entirely by hand with bespoke finishing touches.

The model itself features a Girardo & Co. “decal”, and written on the Plexiglass plaque are the words “12 cilindri a V di 60° - 2953,21 cm3 – 300 CV – velocità massima 280 km/h”, which translates to “12 V 60 ° cylinders - 2953.21 cm3 - 300 HP - 280 km/h maximum speed”, highlighting the impressive specification of perhaps the most well-known and coveted collector car in the world.

The model is accompanied by a customised wooden box engraved with ‘Ferrari 250 GTO’ that can either store the model or be used as a display stand.
