Following our Instagram Live Takeover with Simon Lane, Director of ‘Q’ by Aston Martin and Special Project Sales at Aston Martin Lagonda, the company has kindly put forward a fantastic donation.

The centrepiece of the auction lot is a unique piece of Aston Martin history: the first exhaust finisher for the first completed prototype Aston Martin Valkyrie, unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show in March 2019. This represents the first time any Aston Martin Valkyrie part has been offered outside the factory, and makes for an incredibly special collector’s item. The exhaust finisher will be signed by senior members of the Valkyrie development team.

As well as this unique piece of automobilia, Aston Martin will also be treating the winning bidder to a behind-the-scenes factory tour at Gaydon in Warwickshire, where they will be able to observe each step of the build process from start to finish, with exclusive insight into the craftsmanship behind every car.

Finally, the winning bidder will also receive a thrilling half-day track experience at the Stowe Circuit, Silverstone - home of the Aston Martin Test and Development Centre. This ‘Discovery’ course provides the perfect opportunity to get behind the wheel of the new Aston Martin Vantage in a track setting. There will be three 15-minute driving sessions, as well as expert guidance from specialist instructors.

All charities are facing great challenges during the COVID-19 crisis, and all proceeds from this auction will be given to The Air League. This charity is already being supported by Aston Martin, along with Aston Martin Bristol and British Airways via the DBS Concorde project. 

The Air League’s core purpose is to inspire young people, including many from disadvantaged backgrounds, into the aviation and aerospace industries. It supports those who might otherwise not have the opportunity, through scholarships and outreach programmes. Aston Martin Bristol, part of the Dick Lovett Group, is already donating £28,000 from the DBS Concorde project to the charity.
